You must file a Form 1040N or 1040NS if you are required to file a federal return or use the federal TeleFile program and report a federal liability. You also must file if you have $5,000 or more of Nebraska adjustments to federal Adjusted Gross Income (AGI), including non-Nebraska state and local bond interest income exempt from federal tax.
