Check with your bank before requesting direct deposit. Some banks may not permit the deposit of a joint refund into an individual account. The Department of Revenue and OnLine Taxes are not responsible if your bank rejects your deposit.

Contact your bank to make sure your deposit will be accepted and to get your correct routing and account numbers. Fill in appropriate boxes on the return with the correct routing and account numbers.

If you notice an error in the routing or account numbers after the return has been transmitted, we cannot stop the deposit. If the request cannot be processed or is rejected by your bank, the Department of Revenue will issue a paper check and send it to the mailing address shown on your return.

You should receive your deposit within 5-10 business days from the date of transmission of the return. Monitor your bank account to check on the deposit of the refund. You will not be notified when the deposit has been made.
