DC Income Tax Refund Status

The DC OTR is making a concerted effort to process all clean E-File income tax returns and mail tax refunds within two weeks of receipt. However, it is recommended that taxpayers allow three weeks for their refund to arrive before making an inquiry to the D.C. OTR.

Please be advised that processing will take longer if there is a problem with the income tax return that requires the tax return to be adjusted internally or resubmitted on paper.
