 Contributions & State Specific
Non-game Wildlife Fund

You can help preserve Minnesotas non-game wildlife, such as bald eagles and loons, by donating to the Non-game Wildlife Fund. This amount will decrease your refund or increase the amount you owe.

For more information about the fund, go to www.dnr.state.mn.us or write to:

Non-game Wildlife Fund, Department of Natural Resources

500 Lafayette Road, Box 25

St. Paul, MN 55155

Charitable Contributions

If you did not itemize deductions on federal Schedule A of Form 1040 and you took the standard deduction on your 2005 federal return, you may be able to reduce your taxable income if you had more than $500 of allowable charitable contributions in 2005. To determine your allowable contributions, you will need the instructions for federal Schedule A of Form 1040.

The amount you may subtract is 50 percent of your total contributions for the year over $500. Enter the total amount of your contributions. OnLine Taxes will compute the worksheet for you to see if you qualify.
