Child and Dependent Care Credit Carry-Forward
The prior year carryover plus your current year's credit can't be more than your Oregon tax liability. You can carry-forward any excess credit over the next five years. If the excess isn't used within five years, it's lost..

Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled
The Oregon credit is 40 percent of your federal credit. You may claim an Oregon credit only if you qualify for the federal credit. Loss of Use of Limbs

If you have a permanent and complete loss of the use of two limbs, you may take a $50 tax credit. Your spouse also may claim a $50 credit if he or she qualifies. You cant claim this credit for a dependent.

Obtain a disability certification form the first year you file for the credit. Get the form from your county public health officer. The health officer must sign the form. Keep the form with your permanent health records.

You also qualify for an additional exemption for severely disabled persons.

Residential Energy
