You can file your return electronically any time during the filing season. Payment must be made by April 15th to avoid interest and penalty charges. You can pay your balance due to the South Carolina Department of Revenue by check or electronically (credit card or E-Check).
To pay by check, make your check payable to the Department of Revenue and mail it along with the departments payment voucher Form SC1040-V, to the address indicated on the voucher. OnLine Taxes will produce a payment voucher for your convenience with your forms if you owe. Mail SC1040-V with payment of taxes due to the following address: SC Department of Revenue Fast File Columbia, SC 29214-0020
South Carolina also offers online payment for delinquent taxes through their DOR-e-PAY program.
You can also pay your balance due by Electronic Funds Withdrawal (EFW) using SCnetFile. Funds are automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account based on the payment date you select. EFW is a FREE service to taxpayers. However, you must pay your balance due in full by May 1, 2004 to avoid paying penalties and interest. Please see the South Carolina Department of Revenue website for more information.
SC1040V is to be used only when using a Fast File option. File SC1040-V electronically at www.sctax.org. Click on EPay and pay with VISA or MasterCard or by EFW. Do not mail this form when paying online.
