 Payment Options
If you E-File and owe tax for the 2004 tax year, use VT Form IN-116 to remit your payment. This assures the payment is credited to the correct tax account and tax year. OnLine Taxes will provide this form for your convenience if you owe.

The due date for timely payment is April 15, 2006, but you may send in your payment any time after filing.

Keep a reminder date for sending in the tax on or before April 15th. Since the tax is not due until then, bills for income tax due are not issued until after April 15, 2006.

No penalty or interest will be assessed for tax paid by April 15, 2006. Penalty or interest will be assessed after that date.

If you cannot pay your entire VT income tax liability, file the return on time and pay as much as you can. Then immediately write to the department to apply for a payment plan at:
